Duluth Weekend Recap.

This last weekend was a whirlwind of work and fun. Friday we started by loading the car with four people, four bikes, one dog, and one whole gallery show and headed to Duluth. I spent Friday setting up my show at Ochre Ghost while the ladies and Hank went to Park Point to relax. The night was spent talking to people, hanging out, and some dancing. A big thanks to everyone who showed up at the opening and chatted with me. Saturday was the Park Point Garage sale, then mountain biking for me, and a bonfire to finish off the evening. Sunday we had a wedding reception up at Gooseberry for our friend Brit which was really nice. Then we drove home and unloaded the car and slept.

The Ladies of ThereThere came up with us and set up shop for the garage sale with this cute teepee and Hank did some modeling for them.

Red, Wood, and Blue.

I've got a new show opening up in Duluth in a couple weeks. The details are as follows: The show is called Red, Wood, and Blue. It is opening June 8th from 6pm-10pm at Ochre Ghost Gallery located at 22 N. 2nd Avenue Duluth, MN. It should be up for a couple weeks (I think until the 20th).

Couple Photos.

First one is of Jena's map, mainly India, we hope that James and Sam are having a blast - check them out at http://www.betweenhitherandyon.com/ to see how life is going on the other side of the planet.
The other is just a pretty photo of a part of our living room.

Happy May!

This last weekend Morgan's family came to visit. We spent lots of time chatting, cooking, and playing cribbage on Saturday. Our plan for Sunday was to spend time at the Heart of the Beast May Day festivities, but because of all of the rain we've had here in the last few weeks, the park was waterlogged and everything was cancelled. Instead, we were able to go on a nice long hike along the Mississippi with them and our friends Mark and Ellen, who were also visiting from Wisconsin.
To end the weekend we made it to one of our favorite restaurants, Sea Salt, next to Minnehaha Falls.

HELLO!

Well, it has been a while since we posted. We have been busy getting accustomed to actually having obligations!

Life is going well here in Minneapolis. Enough time has passed that we are starting to miss the whimsical travel days, but we continue to be happy to have a place to call home and friends and family nearby. Here are some photos of our pup, Hank, that we took while moving and hanging out on our lovely porch. Hope you are all well!

Moving back to the Twin Cities.

Today is the big day! After a long night of real life Tetris, we are ready to move into our new apartment in Minneapolis. We somehow managed to fit pretty much our entire lives into two 6' x 12' spaces. I don't know if that impresses anyone else, but I think if you saw our packing technique you would be moved.

We went on our travels to figure out where we wanted to be and throughout our road trip, we repeatedly found ourselves saying, "Wow, I like this place. It reminds me of  INSERT MINNESOTAN LOCATION HERE." After tallying up the times we had said that, we realized what we wanted was to be back in Minneapolis. We are so excited to be back in the Twin Cities, to be closer to friends and family, and to have a place to call home.

Mississippi River

We took Hank to the Crosby Farm Park along the Mississippi in South St. Paul, MN today. He got to meet lots of other dog friends while we got to see all the bright green budding trees.
